After a mad thread with gooseka last night, me and the legend that is iceman got chatting about motorbikes. i mentioned that i was lucky enough to spend a bit of time with another legend barry sheene. now iceman said i was a name dropper he was only joking mind you, so a couple of people mentioned a few celebs they have met. SO go on drop those names, sad i know but a laugh. rules are ........... you must have spoken to them or even know them.

Worst was Natalie Cassidy (Sonia from Eastenders), best is probably Jay Kay from Jamiroquai. Oddly enough met them both in the same hotel bar in Spain, although on separate occasions. To keep the Eastenders theme going, have also met Ross Kemp (used to play for Brentwood Rugby Club where I played), Patsy Palmer (in a club near the bar in Spain!) and Sid Owen (at airport in Mallorca - he could barely talk, just about to board his flight home after a few days in Magaluf!)

I know Jimmy White, Time Attack star!!!! I do also know Jimmy White the snooker player through a friend who makes his snooker cues and Reg from The Bill (Jeff Stewart). Also Juliet Stevenson, Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall are family friends via children going to the same school but then we do live in a luvvy area!! When I was 18 (a long, long time ago) I worked in the same office as Annie Lennox.

I spoke to Neil Lennon in a pub in Glasgow one night. He was swanning around as if he was the 'dugs nuts' so I decided to ask him who he was and play really stupid, but still saying I was a massive football fan. He got seriously embarrassed/annoyed and walked away from us haha!!

My brother's wife once dated Eric Clapton when they were both in their youth (and before he became famous). She dumped him because she said he was only interested in playing his guitar and that he'd never amount to anything. :beat:

I also have met Barry Sheene and have to say what a gent... My dad used to work at Mobil and at the time sponsored Benetton F1 team and managed to wangle pit lane passes off the top guy for the Silverstone GP. Barry Sheene was in the paddock along with Prost, Derick Warrick and my all time hero Ayrton Senna. Senna came over to me (well after I shouted "Hey Ayrton") and gave me a hug, I was only young at the time. I still have photos at my parents with all of the above. Another one who is an all time legend but doubt many will have heard of him, I used to live next door to Erik Gundersen the 3 time world speedway champion who unfortunately broke his back in an accident and had to move back to Denmark.

In my Max Power days I knew Jakki Degg as we discovered her as well as Jordan (Katie "Horror" Price), Lallani, Nicola Ulian, Michelle Marsh and most of that era's P3 girls. In my year in Moto GP and World Super Bikes I have had lunch with Rossi and dinner with Troy Corser, I used to watch the SBK races from Max Biaggi's pit garage and was on good chatting terms with James Toseland and picked up Nori Haga's kid when he fell of his bike in the paddock. Had a long chat with Jenson Button the year he signed for Williams when he came into my office and used to work with Jezza Clarkson on Performance Car and James May on Car magazine. Oh, and Jonathan Palmer once took my Mini out and threw me round Silverstone to show me how it was done. There is a West End star called Kerry Ellis who used to blag fags off meand we would chat back stage when she was on tour oh and talking of smoking, my old smoking buddy at Emap was none other than Vicky Butler Henderson.
