Really?

Must be getting old, I think it detracts from the build.

I like it too. But I have already posted that. I think it gives a sage nod to the gulf theme but with a tongue in cheek sense of humour.

Yes Internal diameter, it's something I was thinking of doing but shelved as system's only going to be as good as the min id and there are some things you can't change like the vacuum solenoid and vacuum reservoir.

nearly all done now, exactly a year now since i buried it under a central reservation barrier, only a few small jobs to do know fit some wing supports fit fire ext a few more daft stickers try and sort another ignition key then its off to donny with deano next weekend to meet up with mmg and find a suitable map and get the water injection all on song.Should see gains from the 3 inch exhaust, and will be interesting to see what the water/meth can add and how it reduces any temps. It should also be good to be able to take a hard long lefthander without it coughing its guts out!!

I don't think they do need them, but when asked to fit one they oblige. Also when we can get some data from the car the benefits of the kit should allow the fuel to be backed off a little and the timing advanced.
I think it should all work fine and dandy

Where are you injecting your methanol/water mix Darren? Into the inlet plenum or further back in the inlet system? I think if you/Liam might find you get quite a bit of extra power out of it if you advance the timing aggressively and run leaner on fuel. I'd be interested to see how much as this setup has been well proven from before the second world war.

Might as well carry this thread on rather than start a new one. Seen as Darron is useless with technology i may as well post some pics to show people some progress.

The car will be entering time attack 2013. Its been built up at MMG and Liam has fitted a LSD and a few other bits. This thread wont be kept up to date as well as Cliffies but we will try and post something after each TA round mentioning any problems we have through out the season.

Been hard at it today and heres some photos of our progress.

Ripped out the interior, still need to cut some weight out of the doors etc

Posted Image

Seat cut outs. Having to use a standard seat as Darrons to fat to fit in any aftermarket seat that will fit in a VX

Posted Image

Harness fitted. Its not Lotus/VX specific so its very very very long
