I usually remember in the pit lane or when I realise how slippery it is. Though I did notify them of Le Mans in January or Febraury last year.

You won't get a good quote for a 'normal' car. They quoted me £750 for a 2 litre diesel Insignia. But they have charged me £363 for the stage 3 VXT

Thats really good, Admiral were £1400 when I first started looked, I have just checked again and it is £1600. Also 21 but with no claims or points and 2 years NCB and the quote is on a standard N/A. Post code is pretty good too.

I was insured last year with admiral with a modded VXT and a modded shed. I bought the shed as it is and it really is a shed before people start having a go for having a polo dropped on its arse "init" .

Exhaust/manifold, filter and "exterior decorative changes" declared on mine no bother.

The Exterior decorative changes covers my hard-top, wheels & front V being a different colour etc.

Snap no problems with my VX exhaust or my remap on the VRs. Sure the wheels will be fine too when I change them.

Bloody hell! I'm not complaining about £300 that REIS charge me. Good luck getting it sorted.

A couple more for you:

MWA (Mercury Assoc, formerly Michael Ward Assoc)
http://www.mwainsura...o.uk/motor.html
0845 872 0328

Performance Direct
http://www.performan...formance-car...
0844 573 3505

Incidentally had a look at those. The pisstakers from performance direct quoted me £1400 for a standard VXT. That's with 7 years NCB, no points, no convictions etc etc, and the VX parked on the streets of Chelmsford.

My insurance always seems to be utterly insane. I once had someone quote me £12000 for a 1L Suzuki Alto.

Interesting, they said they wouldn't touch anything with a remap and are very dodgy about most other things.

Get a quote online as there is a tick list for mods or there was 6 months ago.

I know you have tried Joe but give Richard a CCI a bell. He quoted me on a competion policy for £1,500 per year on my modded vx and that includes unlimited upgrades. Im only 23 and the policy can cover any 'sports' car over 2.1 litres upto a value of £25,000. Its only £75 quid to add single trackday cover too.
