the thing that i am moaning about is i got an insurance quote 6 months ago for exactly the same mods and spec and it was 1600 im just moaning because it has doubled and nothing has changed to me except i have had a further 6 months driving experience :closedeyes: i am down to 2700 so far rallly

Everything is traceable. If the car was involved in a fatal accident no stone would be left unturned. Forensics can even trace from the cars brake light bulbs if you were braking at the time of the accident.


Wow, just as a matter of interest, how do they tell if you were braking?

Often they will check for glass in the filament. (If bulb shattered etc).

There was a RTA on TV where the truck ploughed into a car and the truck driver said the car was not braking, but the glass in the filament showed the lights were ON thus the car in front had brakes on.

many thanks to ianrm for saying try 'need to insure' as they are currently lowest £2500 although i have started to haggle so hopefully get it lower... chinky chinky

na im too young :closedeyes: but my insruance company does do trackday cover, so i just need to ring them for a good deal chinky chinky

got a letter from my boss saying that i have been insured with them for 5+ years without any claims etc and can use the van for social use :)
