Top work there, can't wait to see the finished article. Imnotworthy Have you connected the lights up yet or tried them out by way of a power pack or something? Once you have blended them in how do you go about spraying them body colour? Would it mean a whole rear clam re-spray off of the car or can they be 'blown over' (is that a correct term, haven't a clue when it comes to painting) with everything still on the car? I intend to keep my upcoming LED mod self contained within the original units mainly because I like the look of them but also it will be easilly reversable and quicker with the car not having to be out of action for any length of time. But if painting a small section of the clam is straight forward I may be tempted to make more drastic changes like yourself. I would be interested in taking your old clusters off your hands if you want to give me first dibs come sale time.

I like the attention to detail, the line seperating upper and lower clam, good job keeping it. It helps keep it looking OEM

I like that little twist also.
Together with not stuff in smaller round lights, just to make the original cluster size, this may just work.
Very curious on the end result.

Dab, I've done a trial wire up and everything seems fine so far, I now need to decide how I configure them. Think I will have all four tail lights, just one brake light each side and use one of the unused brakes as a fog. Indicators and reverse as is. My car will be in need of a complete respray after I've finished all the numerous holes I've cut in it, it is truly the car of many silvers at the moment due to patch up spray jobs. It is perfectly feasible to spray small areas but the trick is to blend the new paint into the existing panel, metallics are notoriously difficult to get right but someone who knows what they are doing can make a pretty good job of it. Still, it'll be a good excuse for a color change ;) Ta for all the positive inputs from posters so far, bit surprised really but I did ask for people to restrain themselves from slagging it off until seeing the finished product, so well done all

All attempts so far are stuffing stuff in the existing cluster box. Your's is different, hence benefit of the doubt ;)
Very curious on end result though.

I'll get some pics up tomorrow Pops, glassed in now and in the process of the long, boring bit of smoothing and blending in with filler. Couldn't believe it though, Dab's prophecy of problems with the earlier A prefix lights came true, I have the led's of doom on both those clusters :( I've bitten the bullet and ordered two new replacements from Lotus, it'll maybe teach me to do some better research on things before getting carried away on eBay.....
