Whats this carbon bug? Is it dangerous?
Not being in NewYork was about the only good thing that happened to me today.
Lol...think 'SG1' and 'Replicators' and you'll be on the right track [/sci fi nut]
God bless and look after our American cousins...i keep in touch with a few families in America and 'Sandy' has hit them hard

My best mate died from cancer 12 years ago. It affected his widow (Lynn) really badly and she turned to alcohol and suffered terribly from depression. Unfortunately I lost contact with her about 10 years ago.
Today I bumped into her daughter in a restaurant. It turns out that Lynn has tuned her life around, has finally met someone new and hasn't had a 'blip' in over 3 years.
That has made me really bloody happy today. Good on you Lynn.
That is a fantastic good news story

Good afternoon my friend.
I am sorry to hear of the loss for you and lynn and share whole heartedly in your joy at her new found love.
Whilst of course i knew neither your friend or lynn, i have recently lost a loving relationship and feel so very empty of anything but hurt. I can only guess at how lynn must have felt loosing her husband. It warms and sooths my heart to know that she now has love, once again, in her life. Bless her.
Once again this thread lifts my spirits. Thank you for sharing mr wolfstone...
..icey

You're welcome Julian. I've read how sad you've been of late in your other thread and that was one of the reasons I wanted to share in your 'Happy' thread something that I hoped might help lift you just a little bit.
Phil (Lynn's husband) and Lynn were towers of strength to me when my marriage broke down in the late 90s. His death shortly after left a gaping hole in my life and not a day goes by when I don't think of him and how he must have suffered. I never got to truely say goodbye to him. Every time I wanted to go and see him and to take him out 'for that drink down the pub', he would always say that we would but when he was feeling a little better. Deep down I know that all he was doing was protecting me from seeing him so terribly ill. We never did get that drink..........
RIP.
Now...............lets get this back on topic...........what has made others happy today?
Good evening sir.
Thank you very much indeed.

...you're a good man.
