Will you be watching? I certainly won't be as I expect it to be an embarrassing chunderous pastiche of British life (and going on the sneak peak last night with people jumping up and down on supersized NHS stylee beds, it will be). Just because you've got a Hollywood director in that's made a couple of decent films, doesn't mean it will be any better than some other unrecognisable but anally retentive member of the Arts Council can do, or make any more sense to anybody that hasn't got some explanatory notes. I'm just fed up with the whole fcuking Olympic thing and can't wait for it to be over. I see the BBC are running yet another build-up show at moment, shortly to be replaced by an identical News at One. Wow. More meaningless interviews against a backdrop of the Olympic park, just like they've been doing all week.

Bah Humbug, shall we cancel Christmas as well. Turn over Techie, I am sure bargain hunt or cash in the attic is on the other side for the senile stay at home club.

You won't be escaping the Olympics no matter where you live for the next month. As for that bell ringing episode this Morning I was like....eh? Oh what a wonderful decision...watching people trying to ring a bell for three minutes

There is no where enough cake to go round everyone. Will I have time to get round to see everyone - no! Thanks Boris, but a nice meal out with the family and friends would of been plenty. :-D

I'm with Techie on this, wholeheartedly sick of the thing which, to be truthfull is just a wildly overblown sports day. And I didn't like those at school. However, happily, as a result I am leaving the country for ten days so will miss a large portion of the bollocks. Which is nice.

Goon a be sh*t and embarrassing. Rather than being an awesome electrical of the 21st century it'll be so 'diverse' crap to show how welcoming we are to different cultures and make sure there something relating to every man and his dog. Waste of time

If they cut half the sports that shouldn't be there it would only last a week at most. Football, Tennis, BMX'ing...there's three to start with.

I'm on the F1 again. Even had to watch GP2 earlier. :o

Olympics my arse, there are no Olympic ideals anymore. It's all about big business and fleecing the public for everything they can for the duration whilst the oh so important IOC and sponsors are treated like demi-gods. I mean God forbid they encounter traffic or the general public along their route from Park Lane.

As funny as watching Jeremy Hunts bell break on HMS Belfast was, I really couldn't care less and the sycophantic wall-to-wall coverage is already too much and the thing hasn't started yet.
