2002 Moet Vintage? Don't mind if I do. What takeaway goes with Champagne? Pizza? Classy I'm sure. Curry? Bit spicy for Champers Kebab? Fish & Chips?

I hear drums and a pipe band. Its either up at the castle, festival sq or princes street gardens. Glady I'll pass neither on my way to the train station. I've no idea what any of this had to do with Edinburgh. I'm not against the olympics but fk me what are we all going to do when its over? Be thankful thumbsup

It is a 'once in a lifetime' event and I like knowing that it's being held here, despite the money spent on the events, it will bring cash to the country's economy on the whole. On the other hand, I don't like sports. I'm staying as far from the capital as possible.

I still thinks it crap and I'm really trying. My family are here. We are all just ripping it to bits. The BBC need to stop wheeling out Sue Barker, shoot Linekar, get rid of that ugly shitting horse woman Claire Balding. It's so stagnant

For those that are looking forward to the ceremony, and have a 3d TV, Eurosport 3D (virgin channel 523) appears to be broadcasting the opening in 3D from 20:45 tonight. thumbsup

It its any consolation I have always said and still maintain I think 3d is a fad. Super HD will replace it in a few years.

Totally agree, SuperHD/4K is definitely worthwhile. Long way to go until they can find a way to actually deliver 4K content though.

3D is just a technology regurgitated to try and sell some more screens, now everyone who was ever going to buy a new HD TV has got one. It's got no role in cinema, let alone in the home and has just led to crap effects for the sake of them, that add absolutely nothing.

So true. Even my god daughter who is 9 has yawned more than ever.

I've gone down to the curry house. Checked on Bootdogs car as he is away and now having a beer and a fag.

There is a big event happening in Tottenham Court rd on Tuesday with Super HD or something.

It's not true. I've been in a really really good mood all day as a major upgrade at work that was planned for this weekend has finally been canned. I told them eight days ago it wasn't going to happen as the development company were way short of where they thought they were and where they kept saying they were. Sure enough, last night they finally caved in and rang me up for advice on how to break the news to our chairman this morning. :D
