There are quite a few hanging around the 9k mark so will hopefully be able to pick one up. I don't mind buying one with some issues then sorting these out myself - eg boot floor issue (my father in law used to teach metalwork so he can easily do the welding and would do it FOC)

its a certain future classic and from an era when BMW were desirable. I loved every drive. and they are a sideway kings. nothing new in the last 10 had interested me at all from them* (including V8 M3, V10 M5) *I haven't tried the new V8 TT M5.

What is there not to like......

Looks perfect.
I'll have a couple of pain flute and a rustic cob with nuts.

I jest but don't see the resemblance...

Not entirely sure if Ouchie was serious but I'm really not getting why anyone would like the looks of the breadvan. I can appreciate you'd buy it for the driving experience or maybe even for the irony value (like a Multipla) but it's not a Coupe, it's an Estate car!! A bit like my grandad's old Marina. Hand paint one in brown and it'd be a dead-ringer.

I don't like the looks. Feel the same about the Ferrari breadvan too. But I don't know where the breadvan name comes from, 3 door estate seems more accurate. However, I would still like to try one and I'm fully expecting to like it enough to not care if it brings some carrot chunks to the back of the throat.

My brother in law has a Z3M. Very, very nice. Such a shame it just sits in his garage SORN'd... Tried to convince him to sell it but it needs some work doing before he could put it on the market.

Both can be picked up very cheaply at the moment. High insurance, low fuel consumption, high road tax and expensive to service (relative to Fords/Vaux) make them less desirable than in the past.
