Think someone needs to come up with a kit of new connectors to replace those shitty ones in the bay.
Yeah, I'd thought that. I can obtain the ones in the header tank plugs but the ones for the throttle and pedal are only available from Delphi and you have to order 1000's.

Just replace with a few sure seal connectors or similar.
Neil, Once I track down one of our crimp tools at work I'll see what can be done to help.

Thank you
all this switching off whilst driving is a bit naughty
but the worst is when you pull away from the lights and it then cuts out
and car behind nearly joins me in the cabin !!!!!!
once again thanks for advise and offers of help

So....... my thinking that water was getting into the electrical system and causing the ignition to miss behave is wrong !!!!
These are my symptoms
car starts first time mostly
after start up revs bounce up and down between 2 and .6
little bit of gas and it settles
when driving some times revs cut out and nothing happens when you press the gas
some times it starts and idles and the gas pedal dose nothing.
here's the really good bit
whilst driving along the road and any speed the revs cut and the only thing I can do
to bring them back on again is to click the ignition back one click then back again
this starts the engine again and off we go
any one had similar to this ?????
I can't keep driving like this it's dangerous and silly
the revs cut at all speeds and some times the car won't start again
coming back from vockys the other day it cut out in th efast last of the M1 a few times them
in the best of all places the very tight off slip for the north circular which is just over a trucks width wide
sat there for a few mins with hazards on then it started back up.
Answers on a post card
thanks gents
You could always set it on fire and claim off the insurance

But legally speaking, I didn't tell you to do that

do you think I'd get enough back to buy another though
I'd also need to get the special vocky engine out of it too.
I have thought of that too
I'm off on holiday tomorrow so when I return I funk around with it some more
hopefully it's just a simple fix
