Loom of doom - after my fun and games I'm now a pro

I have a spare Throttle pedal, a spare Throttle Body, Op-comm and and can take those plugs apart in minutes!

BVSD - im staying at my Bro's this weekend in Watford...I can always take parts and tools with me if you fancy nipping over for a bit of troubleshooting? PM me

Likewise, ended up with all the spare parts and all I needed was fcuking WD40

@BVSD Hope you get this sorted, good luck.

Mine has a very similar problem, developed an intermitant miss fire and then the EML came on after flashing and cuts out every 2mins or so having to restart the engine each time whilst moving :angry2:

dont put WD40 on electical connections, Use electrical contact cleaner and wire wool to clean it up :) if it already has water in the conections then dry it out first and find out where the water is coming from :) WD40 last for 40 days, if your problem keeps coming back its prob this..

Is it x2 and x3 in the tis diagrams? Replacing them with descent 070 terminals in either un sealed (mucho cheap) or with econoseals for a few quid might be a more cunning plan for the future. Problem is the crimp tool is £300  I have one at the office :)

So Sprayed cleaner on the contacts of the relays in the boot contacts on ALL relays look in opinion (i'm an electrician by trade well so my c&g says) very clean Car still runs like a bag of sh*t revs up and down like it's missing garage smells very fuely after starting car drives well when foot on the gas but wants to stall when ideling most of the time ie at traffic lights then I have to start it again often after doing this car starts but pedal seems dissconected I've swapped coil packs over the one I have on the car has very clean contacts and the one cliffie gave me has slightly more grubby contacts but still both give same results I had a go at the 3 relays in the boot and the ones under the bonnet. Need to get this fixed as people are getting pissed off with me borrowing their cars to get to work and I'm really not wanting another situation like the one I had on the m1 in the rain in the fast lane. Where next guys and girls Have I been everywhere with the contact cleaner where have I missed??? Thanks people Neil

So it hunts on idle but responds to the pedal being pressed? Any error codes? Does the car idle but not respond to the pedal? Does it fire up straight away?

So it hunts on idle but responds to the pedal being pressed?
Any error codes?

Does the car idle but not respond to the pedal?
Does it fire up straight away?

Have eml on some times
will idle sometimes with no pedal response
will start first time most of the time

as I've said before killing the ignition and quickly restarting will return the pedal
sometimes it wont

I'm sorry I can't give better answers than this.

I would take it to a garage if I thought they would be able to sort it with out emptying my pocket !!!!!
no what i mean arry ???

I had throttle issues when the pins on the ecu (that the loom connects to) had corroded away to nothing. Might be worth a look if you've tried everything else.
