Put some of this very expensive oil in last week. £70 delivered for 6 litres. Thought what the hell it is only £20 ish pounds more than a good quality oil and it will not be changed for 12 months as low mileage road use. Tried to find some bad reviews but nothing. I can not notice any significant change on the move perhaps slightly smoother but this could just be a placebo effect. But it is definitely quiter at idle as if I had used a much thicker oil. My previous oil was mobile 5w40 so not a cheap oil. So I would recommend if you are feeling flush.

Was this for your F1 car ? Just got some 5w 30 Full Synthetic Mobil Super 3000 ACEA A5 B5 £28 Way more than I need for the VX rep engine but I was feeling flush  What is the spec of the oil for your F1 engine ? .

Exactly the oil I had in. I can just feel smug that the engine sounds much happier on the new oil though in reality it is probably no better protected. At the end of the day and extra £40 is insignificant compared to the money we all spend on these cars!

Agreed, makes you feel a little better inside... Mine currently has Millers in it, will try the nano drive out when I change it in dec. Seems to get good reviews, I don't think £40 is a lot for oil really, used to use Motul in my integra and that was about £35 on its own.

What is the ACEA spec for the oil Will be surprised if its any higher than the £28 Mobile at A5 B5 and so a total waste of £40 for a car driven on the road with an old tractor engine fitted

Well I would like to know from the "oil man" If this £70 oil is £42 better than the Mobil 3000 Full synthetic acea A5 B5 I just put in my old road car . The last "race oil" someone had bought was crap  .

Maybe not for a stock road car, but it sure isn't going to hurt an engine!

Just to cross reference with the recent 'price fixing' Nitron thread the note on Opie Oils site regarding the Nanodrive oil is interesting http://www.opieoils....engine-oil.aspx

Can you find a spec ? The ACEA is ?

All you guys who have it must have the empty container. Whats the spec.Double the price it must be a fair bit higher

So as I suspected less spec than than the Mobil 3000 and a rip off (as was the last race oil in the last oil thread)

A5 B5 for Mob 3000 For £28

So may be £42 down the drain ? and more protection for less cash ?

We need Fezz the oil man to confirm  As I am no expert ( but look less to me )

Snake oil! That's pretty much a tank of fuel (value wise) spent on apparently "oilier" oil, nice one! :P

i thought a5 b5 was the nasty thin viscous stuff for fuel economy long duration, something to do with the shear test being easier to pass
