SORN'ing it for the year then? A trouble free year for you does sound appealing though. I've had one and it's remarkably relaxing.

manifold weight 3.3kg , over 2kg weight saving the original with fuel rail is over 6.3kg fixings points not like for like the bottom fixing for the rediculously heavy bracket to support the vacuum store will have to be relocated to as close to the recirc valve as possible. one of the many alternator fixing brackets which again is really not needed can be deleted everything else seems to bolt up as before

there is a bit of feedback that I want to pass back regarding a small quality issue with the flange and the porting that he has done when compared to the gasket profile.

update, problems with fitting, the vertical height of the tophat is now a problem with the boot lid the alternator 3 point bracket would not align with the tapped thread on the manifold, also the tapped thread must have been tapered as whilst doing final adjustments and tightening up, the thin wall thickness around the bolt cracked. the vacuum tap for the carbon canister is much too small there is no lower bracket fitting for the vacuum box and starter motor loom, so plan to relocate this. the tapped thread for the earthing point bolt is different from oem bolt

Sounds even worse fitting than the Klassen one :glare: Mind you, all those teething problems can be worked out, you want expect the world for that sort of price. Even the crack, with a blob of epoxy or a spot weld if you are feeling daring !

Could you shave anything off the flange of the top hat to reduce the height a bit?
