been out for a couple of runs, first with the chargecooler disabled, to get some initial fuel table adjustments , back to the workshop and quick check over everything, then CC pump on and WOT runs.

I have the original EDS / Dbilas manifold and had the same problems. The height is different to the genuine one. thumbsdown Now I have a special built lower top hat. The EDS / Dbilas original manifold is only 2,00 kg.

I have seen a VX with the dbilas exhaust manifolds, but not a dbilas intake manifold, they are very rare in UK. The other option is mount a 90' to the manifold , then bolt the throttle body to that mounted on its side

i like your idea of the TB after the 90' bend. seems like a simple enough solution how about one of them raised bootlid things that are on ebay? expensive but might be an answer...

best thread for info is the on post 1 , there have been a few others than requested steel inserts on some of the screw tappings . If you are thinking about a bigger TB then you might want to drill your own TB hole to fit.

Does anyone know if the Courtenay inlet manifold with larger top-hat suffers from the same problem of boot-lid clearance on the VX220?

its probably designed to fit under the bonnet of an astra , where the throttle body is at the far back of the engine and I expect plenty of headroom

I've got the EDS manifold and top hat. Just bend the mesh. Sorted!

:yeahthat:  Steve did the guy modify it further? Still class it as a worthwhile mod? Whats your rev limit and are you still on standard internals? Do you reckon it would add anything to someone running a k04 turbo or will the turbo of run out of puff by the time the mani has an effect?
