I'd love to know the bullshit excuses Red Bull were coming up with for it to take 5 hours to make a decision. Did it have less than 1 litre, yes, back of the grid. 5 minute job.

I think that is why the LH one was more contentious, since he had 1.3L Mclaren argued there was enough for the sample. And also why some of the Stewards comments referred to him gaining an advantage through being underweight. It was thought that Mclaren were heavily penalised for trying a cover up story about a mechanical failure which didn't go down well. From the radio commentary yesterday, it looked like Redbull were going down the same path. This should have indeed been a quick and easy decision since the 1L was not available. Its possible i suppose that RB tried to blame some standard issue equipment of which the fuel fillers are, i think(?). Even then though, he would have still got the penalty. I think they just took their time over it knowing it would have a major influence on the championship.

As the red bull will start from the pits it's not going to be in parc ferme therefore the car can be tinkered with, including playing with gear ratios. I fear vettel will be fully fueled and pulling top speed on the straights...until he catches up with somebody feisty (cough) kobycrashy (cough) and needs a new wing or gets a puncture. Ideally, I want to see what he can do, not what the car can do.

Didn't Renault detect low fuel pressure which, after red bull went to their pre determined list of 'get out of it' excuses gave them the immediate response of 'an engine issue' so they could potentially change it free of charge. All along knowing it was just under fueled.
