I just fancy something a little louder......

I think you're probably looking for baked bean cans a la Corsa, for that.

My Larini isn't excessively loud. I'm still thinking of taking it off but if it was over loud I would have binned it after driving to Germany and back with it. That said i did have ear plugs in.

I can't imagine driving to Germany and back. Mine done my head in enough driving to Wales and Wales(ish) a couple of times this year in 2012. The drone! the drone!

Would I get rid of it though? well the thought of going through the tunnel at the FRB in a couple of hours from now tells me no chance.

Hmmm, perhaps I could super glue some bean cans on especially if you think it works on a corsa........but seriously I would like a little more hum, I feel it's the sort of car that warrants a little volume without coming across as a boy racer!!!

I prefer theChris Tullet exhaust. Very expensive but it does sound the dogs!! Also it is repackable.

I drove my car with a Larini and Maxogen from Swansea to Monaco, Italy, Germany and home in 5 days and the noise was fine to be honest. Plus around town its the best sounding vx exhaust I've heard for popping and burbling, even the chaps in the other car (111R with lotus stg2 exhaust) had to concede its incredible. The Elise was louder than the Vx at revs though. Would love to hear one on an SC car!

Honestly, I actually find my Larini on my VXT a little quiet - inside the car. From the outside, its a different story. First time I let a colleague drive it, he disappeared out of sight and at one point I asked a mate what the noise was, as it sounded mental thinking it was something else at the track, and he told me it was my car! I don't get any drone from my Larini. Infact cruising on the motorway you can barely hear it over everything else... until you back off or put your foot down. My favourite game is accelerating past people with their window down and then lifting off just as I go past the window so that it pops right next to them. :D so childish

Wasn't 100% id'd as Larini so that plus early reports of it being too loud for track days put me off. Waiting for I.d and have first dibs on it! Got the engine though which is the main thing :-)

This exactly for me as well, though I haven't ever heard mine from outside I've had plenty of people say it sounds awesome. Closest thing to awesome I've heard from it was on a run which just happened to go under a tunnel approaching a red light just as I was twatting with the throttle - generated a lovely pop n crackle.

Something to be aware of is that though they be well made, the bracket fitting the tailpipe on can go rusty and weak causing the expensive and pristine tailpipe to part company with the car :(
