Might be a daft question but have you tried vauxhall or lotus? We don't touch them for all the reasons already mentioned in the thread.

They dont come up used very often, you may just need to buy a new one. Did paul not quote you for a new one from lotus?

Yes he did it; but the airbag question discouraged me.
They already answered me; makes some for the vx220, so aftermarket ones...
