Hi, this is my 1st post so hi to anyone who reads this. I've never signed up to a forum before but thought I should do as I'm on the hunt for something I don't know alot about. I have upto 10k to spend on a VX. Should I be going for a turbo or n/a? Maybe 10k is not enough for a Turbo??? Also I'm based in Frimley Surrey and would love to meet a current owner to show me round one and give me some buying advice.

Shame you're not looking for modded as mine would have given you a great base to start from.

Welcome to the forum. Have a good read of the forum as there is plenty of topics on n/a and turbo models, also might be worth trying to find a local member who is willing to show you around their car and take you for a drive. With either car i'm sure you wont be disappointed

You might be lucky in finding a "good" Vxt for 10k but personally I think you're need to up your budget slightly for a good turbo.

There is a pistonheads meet at beaulieu on the 23rd of february, about 5 or so VX's going, pop along if you can make it and i'm sure you'll get a ride in one and a chance to have a look over some and talk to the owners.

What mods has yours got?
It seems that most I've seen have been modified in some way or another. I just worry a bit about whether the work has been carried out to a high standard.

As above - nothing that's over the top, just refinements really plus a few replacement parts. Just had a new battery, lambda blank, ABS plug arrive and have sorted out the undertray/diffuser bracket with some bolts, just waiting for the snow to clear to pop them all on.

http://classifieds.p...ow-no-69/858179 Saw this yesterday and phoned the guy. Self maintained by last 2 owners as far as service history goes. Any opinions would be much appreciated. Oh.. He sent me pics of the interior and it looks gorg. Carbon centre console and door panels and what looks like dash inserts /panels.
