Also relating to porsche calipers. ..they weigh a tonne, need machining heavily and adaptors to fit and either machining the hub or running massive (heavy) v6 saab 330mm disks. I bought some and chose to sell them.

?Porsche calipers 2.1kg each inc pads. My adapter brackets front 425g, rear 410g. No machining needed to calipers, hub or hub carrier.

Complete setup 1.6kg each front corner less from oem, and 2.5kg less from each rear.

Drawback is bespoke bells are required but the rotors (330mm) are easy available and cheapish.

what i don't understand is how everyone but me seems to be having issues with the rears locking up.. seriously, i dont get it, i can stand on my brakes all day long and the front will more than likely lock first, if they lock at all.. i can bomb round my usual B roads and i am driving very hard and i stamp on the brakes and i get total compliance, not one hint of the rears locking.. what are the others doing so different which is causing locking?

thumbsup I've got the old style AP 4 pots on the front, with AP 308 floating rotors. On the rears there are AP 288's with Ali bells. Both front and rear use CL RC5's. Never have any of the problems with the rears locking up...in fact think that the rear's could be doing more work. Might try RC6's all round, next time..as an experiment....
