The weather has been kicking my ass, however the rear will be taking from the mould tomorrow, front has been trimmed down and a sub trial fitted.

tom, have you thought about extending the box to house some decent components in, as the standard housings are crap to say the least.....looking awesome as it is, just that the standard mounts wont do this masterpiece justice... or..... making enough space for 2 subs.... mono bass gives me a hedache....

Nige, best solution for the existing speaker enclosures is to put MDF rings behind them - makes a massive difference as it minimises flex - you can get the rings off ebay.

do these fit in WITH the shelf there or do you need to remove the shelf?i take it the px seat needs to come out to fit? while its out is there any way of fitting some runners to make it slide forward like the drivers seat?

looking good tho mate... thumbsup

and what was the final price for the grp one?

The shelf stays in lace, the pass. Seat needs to come out but the drivers seat just needs to come forward. One catch is I don't know if it fits the different parcel shelf design. Need to find someone close by who has the different design to test.

there's an ideal volume for each speaker size. For 10 inch it's around 18-20 L

Sealed enclosure of course. Then for ported boxes generally require more volume but have higher output at a tuned frequency, but usually D's sacrificing lower frequency output. Oh and joys of isobaric and bandpass setups. I do miss the old days of car audio, were some amazing setups and people pushing the envelope in the 90s. :)

I totally don't have a clue when it comes to this sort of thing but all I do know is I would like my music not to sound tinny, will this improve this? Just wanting to add depth without going ott. I'm still on the standard blaupunkt stereo and speakers and 2 little ones in the front but il be looking to change these

Generally you tune the output of the subwoofer amp independently of the output of the speakers. So you can either have it fill in the low end or massively over the top, or anywhere in-between. In my case i just use it to fill in a bit of bass.
