Did the airbag deploy? (Cant be arsed reading 13 pages)

Thats all yer luck used up for the year :)

Yes, But Gordon cleverly maneuvered around it...

Was probably thinking one more part he can sell on. Not very well thought out, but didn't have much time to decide, so understandable.

Just been chatting with the guy who has my VXR. No damage to tyre, no damage to wheel, no damage to wishbones, no damage to mounting points, no damage to tie rod and no impact damage in the area , just a snapped thread on the joint. Is it possible to spin up in fifth at 55 mph on a straight road or has the thing just fell to bits on me  Wonder what George thinks

Bollocks. The rear wheel must have been 25 degrees out of line.

When I supercharged mine it used to do this a lot.  Spin up around 55-60 mph.  Used to scare the sh*t out of me.  I went 16/17 wheels and 340r geo and that helped.  Added the rear wing and its gone completely.

Just had a .org guy with plenty of high power VX experience looking at the car and he is convinced the problem was the rear toe link just snapped off at the thread.

10 points to me :)

Seems that way. I have been doubting my 40 years of fast driving and keep going over and over it in my head. But sat at 55 on a straight road could it have been driver error ? If I hadn't had the thing on its limits on full boost playing For several week ends I may have said yes but now with two other views I am beginning to think it did try to kill me, (Don't tell George)

Standard I think from new, no documentation to show otherwise and I had not even looked under the thing. That was my job through the winter.
