Looks better than most. Hope Williams have a better year this time around, than of late.

My favourite description of the Force India so far is an 800 horse power marital aid.

Did anyone watch the 1st day testing with Ted's notebook on sky sports f1?

Pretty disappointing noises compared to last years cars, in fact they're not even as loud as the GP2 cars....

On the plus side, Ted's notebook is quite fun :)

Yep, quite liked Teds notebook. Thought the program before it at 9pm was sh*t.

McLaren rear suspension

10.3 Suspension members :
10.3.1 With the exception of minimal local changes of section for the passage of hydraulic brake lines, electrical wiring and wheel tethers or the attachment of flexures, rod ends and spherical bearings, the cross-sections of each member of every suspension component, when taken normal to a straight line between the inner and outer attachment points, must :
a) Intersect the straight line between the inner and outer attachment points.
b.)  Have a major axis no greater than 100mm.
c) Have an aspect ratio no greater than 3.5:1.
d) Have no dimension which exceeds 100mm.
The major axis will be defined as the largest axis of symmetry of any such cross-section. The length of the intersection of this axis with the cross-section must not be less than 95% of the maximum dimension of the section.

Does any of that mean they can't orientate the vertically as opposed to horizontally?

I think it means you can't angle (ie. rotate) the x-section profile , it has to be either X - or Z | aligned with a 5% tolerance , so you could have a box 100mm x 35mm and align your profile to fill that provided its length from profile points is >95mm

/edit got my f1 coordinates wrong, Y (width) is a line running down the centreline of the car front to back , X is the length , and Z is the distance from ground plane.

/edit 2 , missed out this rule ,

10.3.3 No major axis of a cross section of a suspension member, when assessed in accordance with Article 10.3.1, may subtend an angle greater than 5° to the reference plane when projected onto, and normal to, a vertical plane on the car centre line with the car set to the nominal design ride height.

rules here ; http://www.formula1....s/8708/fia.html

Surely they are going to find a tittle sponsor soon.

I guess the Telmex (mextel?) deal fell through when they sacked Perez

Can't see them ever being a title sponsor anyway. Too little global reach.

I thought I'd read they'd struck a deal with Sony as title sponsor? Maybe they're not going to bother with one this year and wait till the Honda engine is in before either revealing Sony or possibly even Honda.

you would think its all been signed, Sony would not want to wait and see , and find a rival comes in and buys up a 2014 multi year deal.
