I assume he's using the softs? Will be interesting to see if the others break them out today and see what they can do.

it was , The McLaren returns to the pits after that short run. EDD STRAW reports that Magnussen was running the super-soft tyre.

if the qually 105% rule applied , to 1:34.9 , the cut off would be 1:39.645 /edit its 107% , so 1m41.554 applies

"Red Bull end Day Three after less than thirty laps due to a "mechanical issue we hadnt encountered before" ran out of fuel , tyres worn out ? certainly not been at risk of those so far

Is anyone else taking great satisfaction in the woeful start Redbull have had lol! Merc now looking reliable and fast! :D This has to be there year, although i'm certainly not counting Mclaren out. Everyone in the paddock seems really impressed with the Merc power unit!

I'd like red bull to be competitive but just not thrashing everyone.

I don't agree, it's a fresh start every year and they've all had the same amount of time to prepare their cars, they haven't done enough. It is all part of what makes F1 such a brilliant sport, there's more to it than just the drivers doing their bit.

When it comes to Aero no other team is close to Redbull but they haven't had the reliability with their power unit this year which means they haven't had chance to do much aero work yet.

Clearly they're a team with immense resources and brains so they will no doubt be competitive come Aus but it certainly spices things up. This year should see lots of different winners and other teams performing well which will be a much needed change.

Aye I hear what you are saying. They've failed a bit in the closed season Still like to see races being won with the competitors being at the peak of what they can achieve. The spell won't last long for red bull. They'll be there or there about come the European races.

Yeah as soon as they sort the cooling etc they will be right back up there, I can't see Seb putting up with it for long lol! I suppose you have to feel a bit sorry for Redbull really because the Renault engine isn't really working for any of the teams that use it. I guess that's the perk Merc and Ferrari have being a works team, they've been running tests and collecting data from all the other teams that use it!

Yeah thanks :P I haven't had any dealings with lotus, Caterham or toro Rosso. Just red bull and Renault. And it's getting bloody tight!!!!

Is it too soon to blame it all on you then?

:yeahthat:

I'd actually quite like to see them on a par with the other cars, not miles ahead like they have been in the past few seasons.

I want to see a Championship where all the cars are pretty equal and it's the drivers that make the difference, seeing cars not being competitive because of reliability lessens the achievements for others somewhat in my eyes.
