Anyone have any experiance or words of warning for me?

I stuck a punt in before and was the highest bidder at £27k. I was expecting it to go for about £32k as it would be £40-£45k if it wasnt a cat D.

It didnt get over the reserve though and the guy has relisted it.

Also, if you want to call me stupid go right ahead. Everyone else i know is :)

I wouldn't have thought a Cat D 355 is even worth £27k especially as it's not red.

They have gone up in value over the last few years. I think even the cheapest available is about £35k now.

It's the cat D bit, I know people pay good money on here for Cat D VX's but unless your going to keep it for years or export it, I can't see a cat D Ferrari as a good investment

Pfft crema is much darker. Think it should be 'blue and rich tea'. Definitely prefer blue F355s than common as much red ones.

How are 360's doing these days? I daren't look but could've had a 22000 mile 360F1 for £35k two & a half years ago. It was 10 years old, an early one & silver. Loved it but couldn't bring myself to spend the pennies. Even got to take it home :(

I would of thought it would stay £6-10k below an average example without the status would it not? Immaculate ones would go up and this never would but say a good one is £35k now and this one £25k. In 5 years a good one is £30k and this one £20k youve still only taken the same hit?

The general rule of thumb when we discover that someone is trying to part exchange a car (ok not Ferrari's) that turns up as Cat C or D on HPi is that it's worth approx half of book. Even the traders who use to deal in 'that sort' of car are disappearing now that there tends to be something on the V5

Catd on a Ferrari must be a lot harder hit than on our cars.... There is also the fact that they are ruinously expensive to run and are a bit...well old aren't they? Local pher round here has one and has spent a lot just to make it go and handle in a relatively modern way. The noise though! Second only to the sound of Cheryl Cole making you a post coital fry up.
