Rich has left 1answer and theyve been getting a bit of a slating on Seloc. There seemed plenty of confusion with regard to no claims as some of their providers wouldnt recognise NCB

Thanks Rob, clears things up a bit. Had seen some of the slatings on SELOC.

Guess they're still worth a go though, so I'll try and give them a call tomorrow.

Managed a quote from CCI today, which was reasonable, but they (now just Footman James in reality) didn't inspire massive confidence when discussing the car. circa £500, £553 if I want to add commuting, which I probably do. Including 6 track days and RAC breakdown cover, 4,000 miles a year.

That's based on 8 years NCD though, and I fear that as I last insured this car with Classicline (who don't use no claims) that I won't have any proof of this that hasn't lapsed since I have the VXT, which I sold at the end of Nov 2013... thumbsdown

Have contacted Classicline, who at least asked the right sort of questions and should have quote back from them tomorrow. Will have to try REIS, 1Answer and Matt@Henderson Taylor tomorrow I guess.

I'd almost be tempted to come to a meet to see this one; It's become the .org "white whale".

Do put up some pics, Ahab! thumbsup

I wouldn't know. I went back several pages and the only thing I can confirm is the colour of your pizza oven. :D

Also, the Moby dick reference wouldn't work (and indeed, begins to tip over into the slightly homo erotic) if I said "purple whale"

Good to see it's nearly there. Almost makes me want to re-commission my own plastic folly.

Many insurance companies won't recognise NCB if an insurance policy has lapsed for more than 2 years, as I found out to my cost when trying to insure the car again after 4 years overseas. In the end CCI (as it was then) gave me a 40% introductory discount

Would recommend A-plan, will need to call the Thatcham branch for modified cars. My quote was significantly cheaper than the typical alternatives and included commuting.

ClassicLine do recognise NCB and certainly with me they also accumulate it. Got both my cars insured through them and they also mirrored the NCB from one to the other.

I kind of revealed on Facebook back in Sept.

I've only got some average pics, all on my phone, of the car on my drive, but I'll fire some up here today.

Will get some decent pics in spring when it's back on the road, the weather is decent and I've tidied up all the last little bits of it.

I have a coilpack cover if you need one, got a couple sat doing nothing. I use the z22se cam cover these days instead of the b207.
