Noooo, don't wrap it. Plasti-dip or commit fully to a respray.

Wrapping it for a bit then will respray winter 2015

But why not leave it as it is?
I take real issues with wrapping cars, they look okay a few feet away but when you get close you see they just can't get the detailing right. I would much rather go for plasti-dipping over wrapping as 1) no adhesive, 2) follows contours 3) similar cost.
However (and I was faced with this issue a couple of years ago), I couldn't justify either when in reality it just pushes the cost of the respray higher.

And as someone who has un-wrapped a VX220, I have to agree with Tom here.
I really couldn't and wouldn't recommend it to anyone with our plastic shitboxes. Not only did mine remove paint (and it took hours to remove) but it removed the odd chunk of bodywork too!
That said, I think you're already committed right?

I'm not a big fan of plastidip, fancy a change from silver and don't want a final respray yet. Also got a very very good deal on a wrap. We'll see how good it is, worse case scenario I'll just respray sooner if I don't like it

Anything's an improvement on silver Yellow the way forward

Stealth220.
Need to decide what to do with the V and the Vauxhall badge at the front... I'm thinking either a colour or gloss black, although the silver looks better than I expected!

I like the idea of the carbon V, good idea!
Graphics to come at a later date, run out of time before a work trip next week now to be honest. They'll be very subtle though (gloss black I think)
Yup, matte black

Black cars really need a silver screen and silver v, otherwise there's nothing to break up the black and everything just disappears into blackness.
.
JG's car is a good example of how keeping the silver works the best

I just fancied doing it for a bit before respray next winter... Matte black is fantastic to photograph
It's a sod to fit if you want to save your original V as it's a clam off job unless you don't mind doing it the pikey way by smashing yours off and cable tying the carbon V on. I think a Matt carbon V would look good on yours
Had the clam off recently, I think I could get it back off again quite easily now so would rather do it properly... Tempted to do the V in a colour (deep metallic red maybe)

IMO if it's all constant it doesn't disappear (I'm thinking from a photography point of view to some extent admittedly) and you see the lines of the car better
