This used to be spot on but may be a bit too far off your route http://www.lacourderemi.com/index.php Alternatively, somewhere around here http://www.chambresd..._Saint-Quentin/

And lastly, if anyone is coming down near Carcassonne disregard the above and come for a glass, or three!!  In the meantime, have a great trip!!

Whereabouts in the area are you?  I have the delight of three nights with my BiL in September, who's living in Oupia.

We are in Cailhau which is SW of Carcassonne, about an hour from Oupia.  We have visitors from 23 to 29 September but otherwise at the moment September looks easy.  Do you have a date for your trip?

Has anyone received any further correspondence on the Frolic? Never been on a LOT day before so don't know the drill - do they send out any pre trip bumpf? I haven't heard anything since the receipt for payment.

IIRC we received the details about 10 days before the first scheduled TD last year. Don't worry, it will all be in hand ( as long as we can all get across the channel😉)

I am out :(

Sciatica is now so bad I can't even sit down. No way I'm driving the VX. Utterly f*cking gutted as I've been looking forward to this trip and the big Euro adventure that I'd planned to follow on for so long. It's been the only thing keeping me going after the crash / knee op / recovery / car rebuild.

So, any takers?

Sorry to hear this both, it's a p!sser after looking forward to it and all the planning over the months. Hope you both manage to sell on your places so it doesn't leave you too much out of pocket

Well disaster has struck, my mate is suffering from a breakout of psoriasis and can't make the frolic. I won't go on my own so I have a slot available if anyone is interested in a cheap holiday??? Gutted...!

No I didn't go, gutted. I'll put my sorry story up here another time but I've had a real episode with the car lately and my mate is still ill.

So...the last day of a great week at the 'French Frolic' with the Lotus on Track crowd. Brill day at Ledenon circuit today. Got to be my favorite. The VX performed admirably despite getting hot on the collar for being pushed so hard in the 30+ degree heat. 115 degrees water temp was a little extreme!!! Apart from initial minor issues like the speedo not working and a broken soft top cable the car has been spot on for 2000 miles and long hard track days searing heat.. Tomorrow we begin our long drive north on the way home home in a few days.

Agreed, it was a great week together with the few days in France beforehand and a few days to get back. Ledenon is a classic circuit👍 The format this year IMO was spot on. Full days break between circuits, together with the few days beforehand made it feel much more like a holiday with TDs thrown in rather than the hectic time we had last year. Missed the VX on track (although not on the drive down) but the Evora performed particularly well at Ledenon although the tyres suffered badly😥 Will post some pics when we get back next week

We are midpoint between reims and dijon tonight, but the drive was really hard work. Lots of stops as I was getting so tired and eyes feeling so heavy. Just cannot wait to get home now.
