I have a 2.2NA here for clam repair/chains/steel flywheel upgrade/quick rack and alloy top arms/poly engine mounts etc - and also an aircon installation. I now have a compressor here from a Meriva. Will hopefully find out this evening whether it clears the forward wishbone pivot!! The aircon equipped Meriva seems to use the same tensioner with a longer belt which is handy. Anybody else done one, as the blower box etc has not been approached yet. Peter

I'd imagine you would want the air box from an exige that has A/C

I believe it has been done to a vx before.

I think it was retro fitted to a car destined for a hotter country, possibly Hong Kong and I think it was a vxt. It was quite a while ago!

From memory they transplanted an air con system from an elise / exige.

If you can find that thread you might get more info. I'll have a little look too   :)

Well on the way to the National in Wales we all fecking cooked, stuck to the seats, clothes all sopping wet and we had to pull over and put the roof on for some shade  so take it you've never been stuck in a jam with the roof off in 1 million degrees heat, you need to get out more in summer then you may understand the purpose of air con  I seriously would take air con over a good heater any day, I put a jacket on if it's cold but can't drive with just speedos on if it's hot

My vx spends quite a lot of time in Spain and if I thought that this mod was going to come in at a reasonable price I'd go for it but it's probably not financially viable.

Also the added weight and drain on BHP would mean taking the supercharger from stage 2 to stage 3!   ;)
