I had 2 MG Maestros before the Coupe, which is a 218 VVC. Oh the joys of teenage driving!

I had a new (1993) 420GSI Turbo. It was f**king mental.... and at no point during my ownership of this vehicle did I go on someone else's forum and try and get them to open a sub-forum dedicated to me.

I can imagine! That extra power would be a welcome addition if delivered in the same way. Did the bigger engine adversely affect the handling at all? Mine is still going strong, the next owner text me a picture of the owner after him putting it over 99k a while ago and I saw it on the M8 in September, much to my amusement!

Handling was fine... The second stage of pooowaaah just launched the car ahead as though it wanted to headbutt the car in front. Lift off oversteer and burying the right hand pedal made it squirm before charging on.
