Right, had a go at installing the LED's with the incandescent bulbs in the circuit and its causing similar issues, brake lights work fine but only one tail light is working with the LED in both sides not sure if the LED's are faulty but i've given up. I've switched back to standard bulbs after filing and cleaning up the melted housing to take a the standard bulbs BUT now i have another issue...

 

One of the tail lights light go dim when brake is applied. Bad Earth? Where i can i get a feed or check?

hi tried led bulbs in my vx,  never again, bought from halfords, front headlights, and dash board back light  would flash, when i pressed the brake, nearly got me into trouble, guy in front thought i was given him way.

 

2 day later alternator failed, could be total coincidence im sure theres plenty that will say its not related, was to close to me having the led bulb issue, personally wont be using leds again.

I'm concerned about the heat, it was pretty hot with just the sidelights running.

 

Still need to workout why one light is going dim upon applying brakes, this is on standard bulbs.

I replaced the first once I bought (the two parts where nit properly fixed) with the below and they work, no problems after two days of draving:
