Interesting choice of screenshot mark... Does that mean you've decided?

No not at all. Jez, who is going to race in VTEC Challenge, sent me the picture.

Tread Wear Indicator. The small raised bit's in the grooves.

Thanks for the explanation there Matt. ;) What about e marking, that would be useful for road legality wouldn't it?

Curious on final positioning.

Either this is an improved 888, and they want more money, or this is the succesor for the 888 for same money, or it will live next tot the 888, and the 888 will drop pricing a bit to compete with the V70, A048 and the new avon ZZR.

edit; nevermind. Press release says successor of the 888.

There isn't likely to be a big enough market for both tyres, replacement is almost certain, though as is usual, an overlap period is likely. The A048 and zzr are more expensive than 888's in the uk so they'll probably be slightly more expensive than the current 888 but not much IMO

I wonder if theses genuinely warm up faster/easier than the normal R888s. Also, I wonder if they will genuinely last more heat cycles, as I found that the "old" R888s used to lose a lot of traction in the latter half of their life.
