They all do Nev.

Even A048s at over £1k a set take longer to heat up and generally are a bit less predictable as they wear compared to when they are new. My current set is coming up to two years old and about 5k miles. Still plenty of tread but you just get the sense they won't hang on at the limit like they used to.

A new set of 48s feels absolutely amazing.

It's 2 sets of rears for a single set of fronts time again... at least for me when running 888s. Anybody managed even wear on all 4?

yup, my fronts and rears are pretty equal in wear and they went on at the same time when new.

but R888 heat up in a strange way , does not seem to matter how precious you are about pressures, the middle seems to expand like a balloon and wear quicker

you need to start going around corners to heat up the edges :P

So, looking at the tread pattern, are they going to be Asymmetrical or are they going to be sided as well as directional? Also, have they changed the compound or just changed the tread pattern to meet road legal regulations? Is it going to be worth waiting for these or just get myself a new set of current 888s?

Totally new compound and construction. Knowing Toyo's normal lack of supply (and limited numbers when they can supply), there could be some wait for them to become available over here

Mark, since you only use the car on track a set of ZZRs is worth a try IMO. Seem to last a little longer

These are in the building!! Will be trying them out at Oulton Park on 24th October. 30 min practice, 30 minute quali and two 45 minute races with a reverse grid in the second race. That should give them a good going over!!!!

Have they done anything with the sidewall stiffness? I changed to ZZRs on the front from 888 and felt much sharper and less wooly on turn in. Really like them.
