Yup, I will do. In fact I can't wait to.

But there's been a few other things going on in my life recently, and not just work, plus last night's development (see off topic chat) that need dealing with before this damn car.

Oooh, now you're fcuked. Hope you've kept hold of the VX specific sprung valve/diverter thingy that goes in the filter housing to make the oil go through the cooler circuit first before returning through the filter?

I've just bought the CBM-10813 oil filter adapter from ebay from the states. I hope this will do the above after removing the sandwich plate. Might need a hand working out how I need to connect it up to the oil cooler, remote filter and oil pressure sensor. Thanks

so what about all those other z22se engines out there what are people doing about this issue?

I didn't think they were fitted on standard engines, just those with oil coolers in the VX220.

So what does a Vectra B Z22SE oil filter housing look like?

No, the cooler set-up was VX specific hence the rings coming from Lotus.

Does that mean the oil is not cooled at all on the Vectra Z22SE?

Correct. Only the VX has an oil cooler (and all of the bodges in the filter housing that go with it).

Well it had to happen at somepoint. Just hoped after the previous debarcale it was going to be a good few years away. Was it 2011 when this issue last raised its ugly head.

What we need to do is get in contact with them again and pester them to make more. Is there a email address we can email?

When did this happen? I bought seal rings in November last year from autovaux, they didn't mention anything about running out of them then. The seals I removed were perfectly OK,I wouldn't have thrown them away if I'd known they were going out of stock.  :angry2:
