Group buy list: 1. Nicol 2. Tom220 3. Certainly interested although I would like to be sure the Bootlid sits flush like standard, unlike some of the TAT kits I have experienced in the past. Think it was TAT or moto concept one of the two.

The boot lid height shouldn't change, it's the release that governs height.

Nice improvement, and even better is seeing someone closing the boot-lid correctly.

I am intrigued, how else do you close the boot on a VX. That was the only technique I could gwt to work.

how high does it lift the boot lid. When I'm working on it i use a prop to get it as high as poss. I guess a fixed strut would stop me doing this?

Drop it from 12 inches. Personally, I prefer it to pushing down on the boot lid.

Been told that they have been dropped/thrown down to try and get them to catch, also pressed hard on the back edge and somehow managed to crack the lid.  These were told to me by the dealership in the early days but I was shown the proper way when I collected the car in 2001.

Also my preferred method- push down on the boot lid right above the spring catch.

Higher than std strut but avout 1" short from making contact with the OEM aerial as I didn't want it to make contact there

Within 60 secs you can have the struts freed to push the lid up as far as you need to

Ask a young maiden with a soft bum to sit on it?

Had a very similar aftermarket thing on my RX8 for the bonnet and they were a nice little touch and as you've found with the boot I t held it open a bit higher which makes it easier when working on the engine plus it looks cool imo😜 Group buy list:  1. Nicol 2. Cahill (subject to final design/price) 3. mitm - subtle improvements 4. Tom220 5. Chris SCVX
