If you don't like the Vinyl I would get them to remove it before the sale

Say if they remove it and the paint is good you will take it, I dont think any dealer would risk losing a sale over removing some vinyl and it gives you peace of mind that if the front end is ruined under neath you can negotiate that into the price after

Gedi, thanks for the kind offer.  I have had a few people PM regarding cars for sale, but I think I will stick with this one.  Regarding removing the vinyl wrap, I will speak dealer.  I've read, providing it is the original paintwork and has not been poorly re-sprayed, the vinyl should come off without damaging the paintwork - hopefully the paintwork is good underneath.

I was in your shoes a few months back I disgarded it based on Gap in service history Needs belts doing Lenses Id want to change Spoiler removed (IMO) Front painted That's before anything else and not to mention the seller is uncertain on a lot of things like you mentioned above. IMO a car like that would be worth circa 10k max - if he's paid too much and can't let it go for less then that's rather unfortunate but IMO that's what it's value is likely to be.

Stuwy, I did a quick search on Google "does removing vinyl damage the paintwork ", but that was before reading up on the issues with bubbling paintwork on this forum

I wonder how much Wowser (the previous owner) got on his part-ex for the Evora??

Go and see it. Test drive it. Fall in love.. buy it... make it your own.. give it a good life. What's this gap in the service? Don't forget it's a 13 year old car....so wouldn't worry too much.. such small silly points being made... really don't get the bad vibe

I'm with you Mark.  WTF is everyone's problem on the car!?

Personally I would keep the vinyl and the look, nothing wrong with being original every now and again.  That said, I have burgundy wheels so if I come to sell my delicious little NA any time soon no doubt I will get an absolute flaming

If you like the look of the car, mechanically it's sound and it's what you want then buy it and stop listening to all the SELOC fannies :)

p.s. Love you all really :grouphug:

I looked as this a few weeks ago it looked to be in average condition. The dealer is trustworthy and replaced the front clam on mine via insurance. You are paying more due to it being a dealer car. Christopher Neil are well known on here and are often involved in group buys.

Just my two pence worth but I bought the mint original wheels and tyres from this vehicle and a few other bits off the previous owner. He was a knowledgable, genuine guy and at this time (early ish 2014 I think) he had just paid a lot of money for the Marlborough paint job (I think he said it was painted not vinyl). The car looked spotless at this time and was clearly a much loved project and had certainly had a lot of ££££££ spent on it. Obviously this may have changed a little since. He mentioned it was serviced by the previous owner at Porsche regrdless of expense. He'd just got it set up and looking how he wanted it and wasn't trying to sell the car we were just comparing notes on our vxs!!
