When I drained my tank when recommissioning the VX, I undid the feed from the filter and replaced it with a length of hose into a container and "hot wired" the pump relay in the boot to power the pump continuously, instead of cutting out after a couple of seconds.
But nothing other than accessing the pump itself (through either the inspection hatch or dropping the tank) is going to help, if it's one of the hoses that has come adrift or is kinked inside the canister and is preventing the pump from pumping.
And you're right, you'll lose any fuel in the "hump" if you remove the pump. When I replaced the pump in my ProAlloy tank the canister wasn't properly sealed into the tank. Cue a flood of petrol on the garage forecourt as I brimmed the tank and everything in the hump pushed up through the pump opening.

What if the pump has failed but the hoses are ok, is it possible to suck it out?
I've done 4 track days since tank was installed

If the pump is worn/freewheeling then I think it will work.

For future reference or if anybody's interested I managed to suck the fuel out via the fuel rail with an inline pump,
