think you left most of them in a big 11 just past Durness!Yup.... 2k of giving them a sh*t-load of abuse though. Hillclimbing, sprints, track days (I lock my brakes regularly) HH2015.

i've got them on my Vectra. slight overkill, but they're very good tyres. if only the rest of the car were as good.

The Ferrari 599GTO, 458 and BMW M135i had them as standard
Yes, and M135i is handles purely due to its tyres... the suspension leaves a lot to be desired IMO

I'm thinking of trying the ns2r next time. Do the shoulders stand up to abuse (unlike the 595 rsr)?Yup.... 2k of giving them a sh*t-load of abuse though. Hillclimbing, sprints, track days (I lock my brakes regularly) HH2015.

I've contacted michelin to see if they are expecting to do a run in 225/45/17 however I don't hold much hope.....shame as they seem to be the best tyre available.
Pretty unlikely unfortunately. New tyre compounds/patterns tend to only target the sizes used on current cars to maximise payback time.
More depressing is knowing that going forward, the tyres available for the VX220 are pretty much what is already there.

I noted the new MX-5 comes with a 195/50/16's in the basic 16" wheel spec car.
Be interesting to see what tyre that is.

I have MPSS on the Zed, and they are a great road tyre. Was never convinced by spending that much on tyres before, but thought id take the plunge after they always got such high praise on the Zed UK forum. Id say they transformed the car. Much more grip in all conditions, and you get alot more communication from them, so you can feel when and how the tyres are working. Couldnt suggest them enough if that is what you are looking for.
