Thanks for the advice, going to look at a second hand one as £600 i might as well save up for the full Milltek at that price! Thats is for just the Vaux SE back box and fitting i think isn't it?! Anyway would also love to remove the precat but as shown its not an easy job for a DIY novice like myself and my friend who is fairly good at stuff like that has said his drill wont be up to it and it looks to fiddly! Hmmm dilemas! Dave

While the VSE is a bit louder than the Piper, I wouldn't call the Piper tame by any stretch of the imagination. LOTS of burbly poppiness and planety of rasp, sounds like a proper racecar . It's a bit quieter on the motorway though, although still drones a bit. At about £350 it's pretty good value though. Where you based? It's worth checking out the sounds in person before parting with too much cash if you can.

Dunno mate. Unfortunately it's hard to get a good feel for the sound form a vid clip. Mine is >here< if you wanna take a look.

I shall be spectating at a Bedford trackday tomorrow and there'll be a selection of VX exhausts there so I'll try and record a few more clips if you like.

There are plenty of VXes in Edinburgh Dave. Mostly turbos though, so not a lot of use on the exhaust front. What colour is your car? I'll keep an eye out for it thumbsup

Here's a short clip (stand-still and drive-by) of the VSE. It's on Geocities so will doubtless only be good for a few downloads an hour. Is just over the forum attachment file size
