Simon was one of if not the nicest, most welcoming owner I've ever met. Once a month at the midlands meets and the Breakfast Club chatting away for hours about cars. Always remember getting lost driving around the car park. Standing around his old Porsche turbo trying to keep warm.
I met him within a week of having the car and from that day he was never anything but a gent. When someone vandalised my car he invited me round to try and machine polish the marks out. He bought a special paint kit to try and fill the deep scratches all the while supplying me with coffee.
You will be missed Simon. RIP.

Just had txt alerting me to this sad news :'(
He was without a doubt one of the nicest VX (or ex vx owner when I first met him) that there ever will be!
Simon always went out of his way to help out anyone (regardless of being a VXer or not). He helped me out on more than one occasion and I have many of fond memories of him.
The first time I met him was on a Breakfast Club meet, shortly after I bought my VX and he had his 'Turbo S' we stood at Cosford and he said "You need a diffuser, hell every VX should have diffuser".
I'm feeling physically sick by this news
Simon you are already being missed

Simon bought my black Vxt (now Dave's) and I was so impressed with his passive, kind and trusting nature. He was such a gent and I feel privileged to have met him albeit briefly.
Truly truly shocked.
The sadness his family and friends must be experiencing right now - I can't imagine
RIP Simon
xx
