PM Johnturner, he's just sold a Courtenay mapped Harrop car.

    Good idea!
Does this mean your going HArrop Max Have you thought about wi as it could be the next mod For the HArrop
WI being fitted next week anyway. I'm not after any more power, I currently have enough. But, I'd rather have a less stressed SC, less noise & less heat.

What you having fitted maxR Have you spoke to crabash he seems to have some good knowledge about wi Well worth talking to him I remember saying the same about power You will need a very big pulley to keep power low

Ha ha, he's going for the power, he's just making excuses. Don't be ashamed :D Just remember more stuff you add more stuff to go wrong. If you go CS you won't have the logging and diagnostics of Dutch and you'll need it to properly map and see results of adding wi. Sent from my cuntyfuckbollock phone by Twatatalk

Steve's doing the work Chris. If I do proceed with a Harrop, I'll probably get it mapped to around 300HP

300 on a 2.2 harroped engine. With biggest 80mm pully, you will have to put rpm limiter at 6500. Maybe even less.

Intake temp up to 95, just because of the harrop, now requiring WI to tame it down.

M62 with 3.0 pully can also give 300. And intake temp up to 75 (versus 95 harrop)

With just aiming at 300, you are creating a very expensive heat generator.

Just go for stable 350 like Chill is..

Engine needs to rev to 7000 at least, anything less is not enough. I'll be talking to John at CMS tomorrow.

If you want seven thousand rev minimum ask CS about full support up to 7000 rpm Obdtuner Real 7800 rpm support; all the necessary tables are extended from the standard 6400 rpm to 7800 rpm.

You can ask CS if they have all of this http://www.obdtuner....PgOverview.html

Test driving my newly conversion today. Is the dutch basemap safe to drive, or do I need to do fuel learning first run?

before fuel learning i would suggest doing a log and making sure you lambda are functioning correctly

Not running engine in. I will do a short test drive with logging first :)

yep while your there always worth just checking all the parameters after you have read the ecu to pc

on the general page there are some fuel trims details after you log session have a look at them and see how far the fuelling is out then just do a fuel learn anyway

Just do a log and do some quick pulls up to the redline and just check your injector duty cycles first.. Then just be aware what they are doing.. Set the rev limit to whatever 90% duty is and go from there. Customer cars i set it to 80/85% as i have reliability in mind but you should be safe at 90 as it just peaks there and drops. Well.. Thats what peter explained to me when i questioned him about the max safe duty cycle limits.

Can you get to 80% on customer cars near 7k without a wideband?

There's no point in looking at the duty cycle until you have got the fueling correct It could be rich by 20% on the base map or even lean So it's a case of getting the fueling right before looking at duty cycle But you need to know the lambda are reading correctly first or fueling will never be correct if lambda are reading wrong especially without wideband.

1. Fit wideband

2. Drop 1-2 degrees of timing in the boost area (as in lower timing number / retard timing) to get a safety margin.

3. Set target AFR's

4. Do fuel/knock learning session off-boost.

5. Do powerrun and use the self-learn modus for the fuel. Check for knock. No knock? Continue another powerrun for another fuelsession. Get the fuel correct first!

6. When fuel is correct, up the timing for optimum power. When no more power is gained, retard timing 1-2 degrees for safety margin.

Good luck.
