Again i'm attaching a link to the video i posted early on in the topic. It explains the spoke design on the 17x 7.5 and 17x 8...

The Titans, still look ok without the curve in for the rear. Dont have much choice i suppose.

Are we going anywhere with this? Anyone done anymore thinking? Anyone with ATS DTC comment please on the front 7.5J wheel and whether they rub on full lock, what size tyre? As Chris has said Rota don't do less than 7.5J in a 17" rim. They do a 7J in a 16" rim, could go with same spec/setup as TD's 16/17 combo? The mod bug has got me wanting my wheels asap! :P

Below is the list as it stands at the moment.

I'm happy with the ATS DTC sizes, however only want the Titans and am not interested in the grids.

Looks like you've got 5 interested in the Grids so if you can get firm commitment from everyone on the list then no reason why you can't proceed with these.

Titan 1. Mazzy (Slate Grey AKA Anthracite/Gunmetal) 2. vxt5 (black or slate grey) 3. ChrisMSprout (slate grey or gunmetal) 4. 5. Grid 1 leevx2.2 Matt Bronze 2. Andy_VX (Bronze) - Interested 3. Krusty 4.Retry (bronze) 5. Mazzy (bronze)

Ok, those that have opted for GRIDS, can we discuss some sizes and offsets?

I'm going to do some working out using Standard, TD and ATS Wheels specs on the http://www.willtheyfit.com site.

Grid 1 leevx2.2 Matt Bronze 2. Andy_VX (Bronze) - Interested 3. Krusty 4.Retry (bronze) 5. Mazzy (MATT bronze or MATT black)

I'm having a play on http://www.willtheyfit.com. Just worked out my rear turbo wheels fitted on the front cause the inner rim to be 35mm closer to the strut. I dont have any issue on rubbing on full lock, current tyre is 195/45/17. This along with original wheel offset (FRONT 5.5J and ET26) and TD's Offsets will help work out whats best for 7.5J (Rota dont so a smaller size in 17") on the front i believe, same goes for rear.

The below have been compared to TD's (Fronts 7J and Rear 8J) as they are the best fit without rubbing (from what i know).

Fronts: 17x7.5 ET20
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 6.4mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 6.4mm more than before.

Rear: 17x8 ET30
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is the same distance from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out the same as before.

Or

Fronts: 17x7.5 ET20
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 6.4mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 6.4mm more than before.

Rear: 17x8.5 ET30
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 6.3mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 6.3mm more than before.

Or

Not so sure on this one!

Fronts: 17x7.5 ET16
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 2.4mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 10.4mm more than before.

Rear: 17x8.5 ET26
Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 2.3mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 10.4mm more than before.

Input please guys???

Most of the aftermarket wheels on 16/17 are et20 front and et30 rears. so imagine it would be the same for 17/17. ATS wheels are 17x7.5 front et20 and 17x9 et30 rear i think.

not sure if that helps at all but its what I've manage to find for you

Just wanted to confirm which offsets would be best? Most are ET20 front and ET30 rear as you say Mopeytitan (btw, nice color on the VX)!

Hello to you all.  I'm looking at new wheels for my newly purchased VX and group buy looks interesting as have been looking at that style of wheel (grid).  Just dont want to ruin the drive of the cay by having the tyres snatch at the arch lip if out too far.

The 17x7.5 with ET20 stick the edge of the rim out 31.4mm from 5.5 inch stock.  Ive been and measured my outer edge of arch to stock rim edge and that's 32mm.  Only concern is that its too close with tyre fitted.  I dont suppose there is much travel on the suspesion so may not be an issue.  Has anyone got any pics of a car running the 7.5 et20 with the 205/45 tyre?

Similar at rear with 8.5 et 30 as out 17.7mm and I've measured mine currently at 15mm to outer edge.  Could have measured incorrectly so might be worth someone else checking and I'm sure those fitments should be O.K. Just want to make 100% before jumping onboard(if I can?)

Just to add to the above, I've been and had another look and should fit OK in those sizes.  Just wanted some other thoughts as really fancy a set now.

Cheers.

Hello

I have 7j et 20 with 205 45 17 front rub on FULL steering with exige suspension (oem ride heigth)

and 8.5j et 30 with 245 40 17 no rubbing.

To have an idea....

A lot of speedsters are driving the ats dtc rims. I guess you have to take the rubbing with it.... Depends which tyre you want to use.

If you want a cheaper option than the ats 'es this is it...

It seems like lots of people with lots of different opinions and no decision being made.

As stated I'm not interested in the grids, only the titans, but if enough people do want the grids then a group buy can be arranged.

Stipulations are: Only 1 style, with 1 set of specifications all in the same colour.

For simplicity I would suggest sticking with the same specs as the ATS DTCs. If you want to change anything then it must be agreed by all participating parties on the group buy and fitment issues are all at your own risk.

I'd be interested in Grids with recommended offset if enough go for black.

Danger Mouse, add your name to the list or shall i? I think i'll change my colour option to matte black.

Size and offset? Im happy to go with TD 1.2 size and offset. 16"x7" ET20 Fronts  and 17"x7.5" ET30 Rear or 8" ET30 Rear.

I had a chat with TD and they told me that 17x7.5 et 25 and 17x9 et 35(i think? Only bit of info i missed in the sea of paper) are guaranteed fit for the VX220.  I questioned it a few times about the clearance and rubbing issues and told me a lot sold with this setup.I thought the buy was aiming towards 17 front and back?
