Bought this today, pick it up tomorrow. Aprilia Shiver ABS 2013, 9000 miles, full history, Akrapovic. £3750, cheap I thought. Its got 3 switchable maps - rain/touring/sport, seems a bit gimicky

How are you getting on with the Shiver? Is it living up to expectations?

Had it 4 months and used it twice so sold it a couple of weeks ago to pay for an engine for the race car. Verdict? Nice looking, good on A roads and motorways but awful power delivery low down when using it in town. Bit slow.

Thanks. I was half thinking of getting one as a commuter but was nervous it would feel underpowered. I think you've just confirmed that it's not for me. Sounds like you'll have a nice engine for the race car though :)
