After a bit of advice on what upgrades people have made, and what common issues there are with the 2.2 NA. Also what suspension, as Nitron or maybe an Elise upgrade? The car will be just for track, well unless i start to fall in love, then maybe use it more on the road lol. They really do look great, and seem to be perfect in quite a few ways!

Ive been using an E92 M3 for a while. And while using Cup 2 tyres, H&R roll bars, full stoptech ST60/ST40 brake upgrade. updated settngs to the dampers with eibach springs (wanted to retain the EDC function), DCT gearbox updated to GTS settings. Geo settings adapted to me. Sorry if this all sounds foreign, but had M3's for around ten years now. Silverstone is probably my favorite track (GP) then Donnington. Do Spa once a year, and the Ring twice a year when i can, although done Spa a couple of months back, and the Ring will be in July. Did Bedford last monday in a Radical SR1. I have an F82 M4 now, but dont want to track it. But i will do Spa and the Ring in it.

And what pads? I always run Pagid RS29's, but on something so light, maybe the Ferrodo DS2500 are good, and last a long time?

Ah right so you've done a bit then :)

Seems you like the fast power circuits so you may find the NA a little frustrating. Driving at Silverstone GP convinced me that supercharging my car was the way to go. All the above upgrades/checks are the places to start anyway.

Just watched those above! So i take it they just either snap or fall apart? That is not good!

Its more those cicuits as the M3 was suited, especially Silverstone. Cadwell or Croft would be great, but im just after the experience now, and not chasing times. Love track days, and want to do around one a month, or maybe two. Just the cost in the M3/M4 is crazy.

Theres one at Silverstone, just pic whoring lol

And is the ABS really that intrusive? Anyone just pulled a fuse and not bothered? I take it the brake bias is good, so dont get the rear trying to go past ha!

Pagid RS14/4-2 are fine, DS2500 also, they are slightly more road/track biased.

If you want something more track focused and don't care about what they do to your wheels look at the Performance Friction pads. PF01's etc.

I won't comment on the CL's

my brake pedal used to go really hard and provide no stopping power.....  think its called ICE mode or something.

sady cant just pull the fuse as I think that kills the stack.

You won't enjoy the ice mode of the 2 channel ABS, most fit the cut off switch, others have gone for the 4 channel exige unit which pretty much eliminates it.

Ah ok, umm no brakes sounds like fun! Whats the easiest way to disable the ABS then?

If you can access it, unplug one of the abs sensor plugs around the suspension (any accept rear left) to trigger the disablement of the abs.

As it's in a shite location to access, people just put in a switch on that abs wire for convenience. That's called the "abs cut off switch".

You could just give it a go without. If on track you are getting ice mode, you can unplug it anyway.

Make sure to tyrib it against the suspension after unplug, or it could get schredded by the wheel.
