We tried pre-blower, but results were not that good. (makes the laminova coolers work less efficient...)

Why do you need water injection if you're already using E85? That's liquid intercooling inside the cilinders...

i assume the iat sensor is still reading higher temps and all the other stuff which goes with that

if your using e85 fuel and the chances are your not suffering with iat cooler  issues will you be better of going back to the temp sensor near the air filter

The IAT sensor is after the CC and it's reading max 55 degrees. It would be nice if I could get it down to 35 degrees.

Would the rotors suffer if you only inject water and no methanol?

55 is not high most of us are getting closer to 90 degree without water injection

Water injection works great On track
Only a short session recorded
Due to other issue.

But I'm going to rethink the washer bottle tank as the water sloshes a lot and it's not big enough

I've probably put the low level sensor a bit high also so the failsafe kicks in far to early

Anyway I'm going to try and fit a other tank behind the battery which will be fed from the wash bottle tank
But will need to be a new one as this one has two holes in it lol

Probably need a capacity of 3 litres over the low level sensor for my setup

I'm also going to try one of the smaller rrstrictors in the FAV and see how that effextsvthe cooling effect

A 5l tank is your best bet if you can make it fit. Lasts the entire track day and mine has baffles. I lost my parcel shelf but I'm not missing it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

5 litres wont last me the day but would last half a day I'm probably injecting quite a bit more than you. The calculation is based on duty cycle and cc of the injectors And from memory I think your on 470ccfuel injectors and I'm on 660cc

Peter was at Zandvoort yesterday for some testing.

His 5 liter container (the ones from the DIY shop) went straight in where the washer bottle was.

Strapped on, on top of the battery. Nice snugly fit.

For reference; Peter was running his car yesterday with an M62 on 2.9 or 2.8 pulley. So a perfect set-up for testing out his W.I system on the Pro, as that small pulley generates lots of heat. (He injected 1 nozzle pre-blower, as it was only a temporary set-up before he starts his turbo build this winter.) Was pretty powerfull on Zandvoort and I'm not surprised if he had 300+ on that 2.2-M62. Untill his water ran out...

So he was happy with a pre blower setup, where as others complained it does nothing.

Interesting.

I don't know his results, but it was simply too much effort for him to install nozzles post laminova on this temporary m62 set up. Better ask peter directly for some data, as he could not retrieve that quickly from his laptop yesterday...

He mentioned that he didn't think injection pre-blower is optimal, it's just convenient. Very easy nozzle access right on top of the M62.

in terms of the intake temperature, and the different temperature figures mentioned above. Take in to consideration that the measured temperature figure , is not the true at this moment temperature. The sensor element is encased in a protective coating which acts as an insulator and so you never actually get the sensing element, usually a NTC resistor to actually match the heat value of the air passing over it. so it is better to set the ecu to cut in earlier , on the basis that the measured value is lagging behind a lot from the suddenly rising intake temperature and it is best to protect the components. so if the SC compressed intake went from 0 to 100'C , the rise time of the sensor is such that you might read 63'C after 10 seconds sample time. the only way to get a fast reacting and accurate reading is to use a K type thermocouple
