once welding was done i milled the surface of the T25 as as i see it the major part to haunt me is a non sealing surface and has been the main issue in the past! Posted Image

using a knackered Tail housing, enabled me to align the turbo with spool piece and 3" down pipe to marry up with milltek exhaust positioning using the old engine on the welding benchPosted Image

not a lot of room or room for error ! its tight

turbo porn

after lots of discussions with what we wanted to achieve of having as early a spool as possible with good power,  Mr Bentley worked with owen's come up with a GT28-65 HTA with a TAIL housing cannibalising my old turbo in the process which worked out very favourable! so we see how that pans out!

fitting is tight as the turbo sits low using a spool piece and thus marrying up with the existing exhaust means the bends are tight, using v-band gives some movement for play with to get a good clean fit.

Looking good with plenty of off the wall thinking, surprising how you've managed to fit the CC and air filter in the right ear :)

Though I can see one little thing that might improved gas flow a bit - the start of the down pipe could have had a longer horizontal neck and a wider radius bend.

kept the small rad for now! quietly confident it will be up to the job! if not ill change, the EMU will flag up the temps when it gets to that stage.

idle rpm, idle on the move rpm, low end ,mid range with no wastegate control  just using the spring pressure ! everything is holding up well ,no leaks and good results so far! looking forward in adding all the features of the emu ecu into the mix! button installed ready!Posted Image
