I dont think this was inevitable. Its more a case of a few key factors all happening at the same time. A key player leaving for Mclaren, who looked after the finances, the issue with export orders, not having the next variant available yet.
Sad to hear as its a great product for its first incarnation. I would have loved to have had a targa version of the next gen E10S.
