Hey guys, I'm looking for a reliable place to get my NA stage 2 supercharged. I've had a few quotes but they are all ridiculously expensive, I know there is alot of work involved but the costs I've been hearing are crazy. Has anyone had a good job done and how much did it cost?

Thanks as always

I will probably have my sc stage 2 engine and ecu up for sale soon when I start my engine conversion if it's of any interest? Has around 250. Engine has recently been serviced and has probably only done 500 miles since. Pm me if of any interest  Al

Only aware of about three places that do it regularly, so it's likely that the quotes you have are the price it costs. Having performed a couple, I certainly wouldn't charge any less than those places knowing the labor and parts cost.

The prices I see banded about like 3k we spend that on parts for these conversions. But if you want it done right with all new parts we cant do it for any less that 5500. Its touch and go if we really make much of anything on them at that really to be honest.

"We are the number one UK destination for the Z22SE Supercharger conversion." Says who? Based on what? Number one most expensive? Number one in terms of conversions completed? Number one in terms of reviews?

Quite a lot of errors in there.

Pedant mode/

Z22SE was never sold in the US. Thats a UK term for the L61, which has never been supercharged.

They are all part of the Ecotec family of engines. in the 2.0 LSJ, is the supercharged US variant which has a very similar block to the L61 and therefore the parts from the LSJ can be retrofitted.

Conversions are much older than 7 or 8 years. Courtenay Sport first did one in 2004 (12 years ago) and did nearly a dozen in 2005.

Courtenay sport and Klassen together have done around 300 conversions, probably making them number 1 ;)

I can also vouch for the batman, he's sc one of my cars, did a top job and he's very reasonable. He's also about to supply and fit a NEW supercharger kit to another of my cars :D

Same old Lee. Might be a bit of fun for you but just bear in mind it our business with 2 people dependant on it for their jobs. If you have a valid criticism I'm all for it but just making tosspot comments all the time is getting old.

And that's why've asked, as a business, if you can justify that no1 then it's even better for business. I've seen the work you and Chris put into conversions and they look great. It wasn't a dig ;) See it more as constructive feedback.

no conversion i have seen as yet.. And i have seen a lot! Have come close to the quality / effort we put in.

Its not just about bolting a charger on and have it "work" thats easy, for god sakes i litterally wrote the how to..

Its more about the little things, propperly wrapped wiring into the loom, colour coding the wires for any fault finding, cleanin everything so its litterally like new under the clam..

Its not needed at all, but this is the type of stuff i do on every conversion i get..

Courtenay are still number 1 for SC installs, get over it :P
