I have a CS map, and tullet. I don't get farts, petrol smells or low rev running issues. Occasionally I get a few random rev rises on cold start up, up to about 2k revs - that's it (normally when I start the car at 5am in the morning, I think it does it just to wind the neighbours up)

I don't think there is a issue with people earning money, Each person selling the service puts there price out there and the punters make there decision on that What I personally against is misleading part of there marketing to make there £s This comment is not just aimed at vx stuff it's generally the way things have gone with aggressive marketing bull sh*t because of there desperately put under pressure to sell and earn money.

What about disclosure? I think I'm about the only overt business that bothers on here but yet there are many people with vested interests that arent overtly put over in the same way as I do. Is this any less questionable than "misleading claims?" 

 

On here we have people that sell and promote certain parts whilst benefiting financially, people that run reasonable scale businesses that arent obvious to the casual browser. 

 

Anything we do or I post about is all above board for anyone else to see but theres a lot of stuff on here that supposed to be all mates together type stuff but is actually business operation. 

 

I'm all for a bit of entrepreneurial activity but if this was a proper forum there would be clear differentiation for advertisers. You Chill have posted the above which is a very righteous looking statement but you are are the official UK arm of ODB tuner. Knowing that you have some axe to grind gives a different slant on anything you post on the forum. This is a disadvantage I give myself through my up front approach but need we list the other members that effectively run businesses the same as me but dont disclose? 

 

I might have been in for some hammer on this thread but I'm the only one putting myself out there being honest and upfront completely about what my activities are. 

 

The main gripe on this thread was calling out the shitty way people seem to think treating eachother has become normalised. I hope this has in some way sunk in and the email and PMs I received following my little outburst reassured me I wasnt on my own. there are a couple of brave folk that spoke out on this thread but many more that have offered quiet support whilst feeling afraid to speak out on this thread. 

 

I hope its become somewhat of a watershed moment for the forum. We can endlessly post pictures of shiny engine bays to display our affinities but if nobody else is reading is there any point? I think we need to collectively stop being fannies and get back to doing what we always traditionally did best and I think still off the forum still do and thats been a proper community. I think the facebook page has more of this heart than the forum these days.

Jonny I never mentioned any names in here it was general statement I am NOT any official arm of obdtuner ( I am a user of Obd ) I offer help to anyone I can , including yourself when you announced you were doing conversions I didn't want you to suffer with issues I and others have had, I contacted you with some nice pointers and if you wanted further help I would be there again Since then I've also been asked many questions and a lot of advice to chris as many others have in the forum and not even got a thanks very much for that so if I'm being honest Jon this does get to me more than anything else. But unfortunately chris is now more up his own arse than he has ever been, and has deffinately drove a wedge between many on here I could go deeper with the above comments but won't And anyone that contacts me or talks about mapping for z22se supercharged cats I tell them there are 4 main options CS Obdtuner Standalone And there is one other used by some of our European friends I all tell them that obdtuner is not for everyone as it takes time to get the most of it,

Well I think any personal disagreements you have I assume this is over who didnt/didnt do the legwork on the water injection? All that stuff is of no interest to me. I dont do politics. I think you should sort that out between yourselves on PM or whatever.

 

I know you got in touch when we first kicked off the conversions and that was appreciated and acknowledged at the time to you directly but what do you want exactly? Me to post publicly about every time someone gives us a hand with something or vice versa? Its a 2 way flow but we dont go hunting for public adoration we just bat on with what we are doing. 

 

This is the sort of thing that happens when it gets too cliquey. People fall out and blah blah. Nobody outside of whats going on cares or wants to hear about it. 

 

I'm not going to post on this thread again. I've said what a lot of none clique members have been brooding about for a good while. Its out there hopefully some good will come of it. If not I guess this place will continue the spiral of getting more and more quiet and more cliquey and less welcoming to new folk.

Or just checking something whilst i was out mapping and not having my book to hand i have always thanked you.. I dont ever finish a phne call without thanking anyone i speak to..
