Ty Croes - Never done it before, but a fantastic short circuit. Followed the Fox's around for a few laps at the end of the day. The only time I had any clear advantage was braking for School and the Hairpin, although some of that would have been the RS-14's. (They are so so good) The N/A's drew away through Douglas and Mountview (and probably would have done so through Abbotts, if the hill had not handed the advantage back to power.) This brings me to one of the days comedy moments. Was out with Joss in the VXR, when she caught up Shiny and Timbo having a dice. Joss slows down so we can watch the fun. A lap or so later, yellow is out at Radar. No car in sight. Why is that flag out? Finally I spy a black VXT, so far off the track he is halfway to the mainland. One up to the N/A's. Second comedy moment was Dean having a chewing gum failure whil I was trying to stay on GaryK's heels. I never knew chewing gum could turn into foam. (I will clean the car out tonight Dean thumbsup ) Unsung heroes, Louise and Wicky (and Leah washing up in the morning). I owe you for food, let us know how much. Finding some Stilton at midnight was an unexpected delight. Oh, 'spose Thorney and Andy did a bit too. Tip for JT. To stop you locking up like the photo above, try switching the ABS on ;) Next one soon please.

Great weekend, still knackered this morning. Thanks to Andrew for organising another great run. Bob for guiding, Ian, Ian, Mick and me from the beach to Anglesey (great blast guys). Shiny Andy for booking the cottages. Thorney, Ian, & Andy for organising everything so well. Alan & Lou for the grub. Timbo for teaching me how to spin and the wickedly fast pax ride. Finally Vespillo for the blast from just after Betws-y-coed down to Telford, when I had to leave you to stop my bladder bursting.

Amazing weekend. Got back at 10:00 last night - 4:20 to get from NW tip of Wales to SE, including fuel stop... So so depressing not to have been tracking, but thumbsup to Rubber for his pax ride, and thanks for all the offers... I've got a little bit of video, so I'll sort it out over the next few days/weeks/months...

Sorry Lou, I meant to give you some money yesterday but forgot all about it. Let me know how to get it to you (and a nudge to all those other people who haven't contributed!) And thanks for the duvet. Partridge - when we saw you on the shoulder I knew you would have run out of fuel - how ironic, after you said I would have 20 miles left after it said empty on track.... Yesterday made it very apparent that the one thing the vxr needs desperately is harnesses. I was moving about all over the place and today my back is killing me. So that's my birthday present sorted. Thanks everyone, a great day despite the morning's weather and unfortunate off. :(

;) Thanks Andrew for a superb weekend once again and all the Anglesey organisers. Did it at Last! First ever track day, sorry I held you all up. Alright I bottled it in the morning, but thanks to Ryder for the PAX ride in the awesome Exige to give me encouragement. Also thanks to all for making an ex VXT man feel still part of things! What a circuit....

Thanks all Really enjoyed the driving, especially in the wet in the morning! Avril enjoyed the lunch time session once I bullied her into driving so thanks for that as well, it was a graet idea. Still getting used to the Exige but it keeps getting better every time I take it on track. hardtop: no probs for the pax, glad you got out and had some fun in the afternoon

No need to stop, I was following Foxy at the time and he had set off for juice. No point in placing other's in danger for my stupidity, quick thinking of Andy and yourself to get the message over that I was OK.

Fantastic circuit! When can we go back? I loved the circuit... very similar to Knockhill in terms of the gradients, cambers and level of commitment needed to lap quickly. Great fun. The circuit was very slippy first thing, but it was a great opportunity to learn a little more about the chassis. And the instruction was a wise investment. I was a couple of seconds a lap faster after being shown the correct lines thumbsup Still had the obligatory spin onto the grass with the instructor on board though  Me knocking it out of gear, standing on the brakes and trying to control the direction of the car, him pulling on the handbrake as we skidded over the grass towards the tyre wall. Thanks to Dean for taking me out in his car. The A048 tyres and Nitrons are excellent. Front end grip under braking and turn-in was awesome. I can't wait to get these on my car! The standard Bridgestones and suspension are excellent though. I was throwing my car around to catch and pass Ryder and keep up with Thorney in a couple of afternoon sessions, and they took all that punishment with no problems at all. Loads of tyre squeel, and they went off a little towards the end of a 20 minute session. But that's almost a full race distance on standard road tyres. Top job Lotus Imnotworthy

The rear looked a little squirmy when I followed Dean through School

I went with Vespillo.. Had a fantastic time!! Cottage was great, food was great, track was cool! and the VX's - Mad.. especially after a run.. nothing like the smell of cooking engines, brakes and rubber.. mmmm :P Lots of entertainment.. specially the noise of screeching (mostly coupled to Timbo being half a mile off the track and almost needing coastguard rescue..). Love it. Hopefully we'll be going to the next one!!! Cheers Gareth Imnotworthy

Just to add my thanks to all invoved. After a rather scarey start, this turned into a really great day, highlight for me was lapping with Tim and Thorney, in close formation. Close second is sitting behind Partridge watching him slide everywhere (I believe he was ordered to provide an entertaining ride for his passenger). The circuit was a real leveller, with power counting for little. School corner is brilliant :D A great day

One word:

*SPENT*

Agreed B)

My first trackday in over a year actually driving my *own* car, I'd forgotten just how much fun it can be, especially at Anglesey. I'm still rather impressed with how good a standard VX220 (albeit now wearing RS14's) is round there.

Roll on the next one.

Mike
