Do the lotus 211 front arms offer much more camber over standard? I am trying to decide whether to buy these or the eliseparts steering arms for more front camber

I run the EP arms on mine, my camber is I think the best compromise now between braking  , damper setting for anti-dive and tyre performance.

 

If you don't have the 1" arb fitted, I would do that first.

Aren't the front Lotus S2 ones longer ?

And even longer are the ones onthe exige S

Top wishbone is 8mm longer than the S1/VX one. I know this because MBR set my car up last year, and spotted that i had one fitted by mistake by a garage a couple of years back

Fook, thats one hell of a mistake. Car handling must have been interesting!

Easy enough to cut and extend really, just takes a little bit of care with the angles and welding. I helped modify a pair 6 months ago, with a 12mm extensions.

I would say buy en Elise S2 lower + upper arm. => +8mm

(Or the V6 versions that are even wider)

They have this indeed, compared to normal Elise S2 upper arms. But S2 front wishbones are supposedly 8mm longer than VX220 (and S1) front arms.

(Not sure of it's 8mm per side or total track width...)

The pivot center of the upper ball joint will not change with 2-11 arms...

You could machine the standered steering arms down  for more  camber

I me an works for good cornering. Anyone tried knuckles with raised center? Amy difference in cornering?
